The southern end of Chile is also the southern end of the planet. The rain, cold, and especially the wind, are really severe. Still, sunny and warm days are not unusual, particularly in summer.
The best time to visit Patagonia is between December and March, which are the warmest months, with temperatures rising as high as 25°C in some places, however the average maximum temperature is about 17°C. In any case, thermal garments are recommended since weather variations are quite frequent with strong winds. People say that is not unusual to live the 4 seasons on the same day!
Due to the latitude, during the summer, daylight hours are from 4 am to 10 pm, while during the winter (mid June to mid September) daylight hours are from 10 am to 5 pm
