THE AREA
Corralco Ski Resort & Spa is located on the slopes of Lonquimay Volcano, within the Malalcahuello-Nalcas National Reserve, only 1:30 hrs drive (120 km – 75 mi) from Temuco (transfer included in All Inclusive Programs)
There are 4 to 9 daily flights (depending on the season and day of the week) from Santiago to Temuco. Flight lasts around 1:15 hrs.
Remember there is no cell-phone signal at the Ski Center. Wifi is available at the common areas of the Resort to stay connected.

CONGUILLIO NATIONAL PARK
With 60,833 ha (150,000 ac) Conguillio National Park hosts the Llaima volcano, main modeler of the current surface in the park. The highlights are the Native Araucaria Forests and Conguillío Lake with marvelous panoramic view.
FLORA AND FAUNA
The fauna at Malalcahuello National Reserve stands out for the presence of animals like pumas, foxes, grisons, condors and eagles, among many others. In its vegetation we can find great native forests, present throughout the park, mainly Araucaria, Oaks, Raulíes and Coigües, allowing to venture into a silent and unique world, through its various trekking trails which together account to approximately 50 km length (31 mi) from 950 to 1,769 msnm (3,117 to 5,804 ft)
HOT SPRINGS
In the vicinity of Corralco is possible to find different natural hot springs surrounded by unique natural landscapes and a diverse range of flora and fauna. Corralco Ski Resort & Spa features one the best types of snow in South America. Over 500 ha (1,230 ac) of skiing areas make Corralco one of the favorite ski resorts for skiers and snowboarders.
The Ski Resort is located on the southeast slope of the Lonquimay Volcano. The base is located 1,480 meters above sea level (4,856 fasl) and its highest point is 2,400 masl (7,874 fasl), providing a breathtaking view of Malalcahuello National Reserve.
Corralco Ski Resort & Spa has 4 lifts, two of them surface and the other two chairlifts, for its 18 runs divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced. Two chairlifts are in the process of being installed, increasing the number of runs up to 25, especially for advanced level and backcountry.

Snowshoes Salto El Colorado / Low / 4 hours
Walk from the hotel to enter into the ancient Araucaria forest. Hidden among the vegetation is Laguna Pehuenco, then climb up to Estero La Plancha.
Snowmobiles Lonquimay Volcano / Low / 7 hours
Let’s search for the best snow! Visiting every inch of the mountains and with the help of snowmobiles, reach those places you thought were inaccessible.
Snowshoes Sierra Colorada / Low / 3 hours
Walk with snowshoes from the hotel to discover the magical forests of snowy Araucarias. A great landscape accompanied by a smooth walk to learn more about the flora and fauna of Malalcahuello National Reserve.

By using Randonnée equipment reach the top of Lonquimay Volcano to contemplate the greatness of the snowy Andean Mountain range, for later descending in a fun Freeride to the doors of the hotel.
REGULATIONS OF SKI CENTER
This document constitutes the Safety Standard Regulations of Corralco Ski Center, hereinafter also “the Regulation”, and contains safety standards of Corralco Ski Center, hereinafter also “the Center” or “Corralco”.
This Regulation is binding on all users of the Center, Skiers, Snowboarders or Tourists in general. By simply accessing to the Center the user adheres to these Rules and undertakes to respect in their entirety.
Users of the runs, lifts, recreational areas, or the Center in general, are obliged to respect the signs placed on the runs and lifts, to comply with the requirements of this regulation and by legislation and current regulations. The transgression of the rules above, authorizes the immediate removal of the access ticket for runs and use of the lifts, and if necessary to be retained by Carabineros de Chile and prosecuted.
The skier and snowboarder states to understand and know the risks and dangers inherent to skiing and snowboarding. Consequently when practicing, he/she will assume responsibility for accidents and personal injuries that may occur and for those caused to the Center and/or other users. Being eminently risky sports the Center is not responsible for injuries and accidents that could result in people and/or property of users.
It is forbidden to enter the ski and snowboard runs that are not flattened, due to the inherent danger involved when using them without prior flattened done by ad hoc machinery. The skier or snowboarder practicing “Backcountry”, i.e. using areas which are not especially prepared to be used by the Center, therefore buoyed and signalized, do so at their own risk and responsibility. Center areas, signalized as cliffs and/or avalanches areas are also considered as “Backcountry” and are prohibited to all persons from entering to them. It is strictly forbidden going through closures warning: Danger No Trespassing, Avalanche Danger, Cliff Danger, Close do not Pass, Closed Run or similar. In the event it is necessary your search or rescue, the user who exposed him/herself to risk, will pay for the salvage costs.
The user must enter to the runs with a ticket that must be shown whenever required by an employee or representative of the Center. You can only access the runs by carrying and using skis or snowboard. Such equipment shall be equipped with brakes or safety straps to prevent uncontrolled slipping when are released from users. It is prohibited the entry and pedestrian traffic on the runs, the use of slides, sleds, boards, cameras, tires, bikes, inflatable boats, canoes, kayaks, or other sliding elements, kites, gliders, paragliders, motor vehicles, and any other equipment other than the stated.
The user shall only use the lifts that they are trained to use, and that will lead them to runs according to their ski level as per their difficulty degree depending on their own skill level. Otherwise, you must seek help from the personnel. Parents and guardians of minors shall proceed in the same way.
When entering a run or restarting your own descent, the User must give way to the users who are already moving. Any detention which impedes user slippage or is not visible from uphill is prohibited. It is only allowed to stop at the sides, as long as the user always remains attentive to the pass of other skiers.
The user must move through the runs in a careful and controlled manner, away from snow fences and ski lift towers, ensuring to be in control of their displacement at all times. The user acknowledges that notwithstanding the above, obstacles can always emerge unnoticed, in virtue of which is obliged to be always vigilant and attentive and to use snow with caution.
The downhill user always has the right of way. If as a result of a collision with another user, one of them is injured, both must remain on the accident area until security personnel arrive, give the information they require, and exchange personal data among those affected.
The user agrees not to slide down through paths or lines near the lifts towers, accumulator snow fences, snow making machines, posts, signs, poles and ropes to demarcate limits, stationary or mobile machinery of the center, and any other similar elements. Likewise the user agrees not to cross runs used for trainings, competitions or teaching skiing or snowboarding lessons. Also agrees not play in the lifts, swinging on chairs, zigzag in the chairlifts, throw object and any other activity that endangers his/her physical integrity or other users.
It is strictly forbidden to seize, damage or alter the location of safety elements, such as: Nets, Mats, Ropes, Beacons, Posts, Signs, Pennants, etc. These are positioned to indicate obstacles and reduce accidents. With all the above, the user acknowledges that such elements do not fully protect him/her from damage and that their obligation to stay away from them and from warn areas.
The Center strongly recommends the use of helmets.
