Hanga Roa Eco Village & Spa features 69 rooms and 6 spacious suites up to 78 m2 (840 ft2) with a private terrace, all of them with views over the Pacific Ocean.
The rooms and suites were built using natural materials such as cypress trunks, clay and volcanic rock and they feature air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. The hotel and its rooms do not feature TV, to enjoy silence and relax.

The architectonic concept of Hangaroa Eco Village & Spa constitutes a hommage to the Orongo village, whose remains can still be found on the top of the Rano Kau volcano. The concept of the hotel allows for a harmonic interrelation between the buildings, open spaces and landscape.
The interior decoration is based on the geographic elements of the island, prioritizing the natural light and simple objects from fine materials. The hotel features the state-of-the-art technology which controls water and electricity consumption, minimizes noise and electromagnetic fields.

The nearest continental point lies in central Chile, 3,512 km (2,182 mi) away. Most part of the island is part of Rapa Nui National Park, which was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, incluyding its 887 stone statues called Moai.
Depending on the season, there is 1 or 2 flights per day from Santiago. The flight lasts 5:40 hrs and on the way back, 4:45 hrs. There is 1 weekly flight from Papeete (Tahiti) to Easter Island, and it lasts 5:45 hrs.
Time zone: UTC-6 (UTC-5 on summer), which means there are 2 hours less than continental Chile.
The only town of the island, is Hanga Roa, with 5,000 inhabitants. The town features a supermarket, a pharmacy, stores restaurants, a catholic church and the Rapa Nui Anthropological Museum.
